One-time PC setup for branded folder icons; how to open this page on phone; bookmark instructions.

1. Activate orange folder icons (one time, on your PC)

  1. Right-click Apply-MFW-Branding.ps1 in the MFW root folder → Run with PowerShell. (or in PowerShell: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "C:\Users\Sean\OneDrive\MFW\Apply-MFW-Branding.ps1")
  2. The script marks every folder with the right attributes so Windows reads desktop.ini and shows the orange MFW icon plus a description tooltip on hover.
  3. It also refreshes the icon cache so the change appears immediately — no log-out required.

2. Refresh the folder index after adding folders

  1. Right-click Refresh-FolderIndex.ps1 in the site/ folder → Run with PowerShell.
  2. This regenerates data/folders.json from the live folder tree, including the files inside each folder.
  3. Reload this page in your browser — the dropdown menu, search, and chapter listings update.

3. Open this page on your phone

  1. Install the Microsoft OneDrive app on iPhone or Android.
  2. Sign in with the same account that has C:\Users\Sean\OneDrive\MFW.
  3. Inside the OneDrive app: Files → Documents → … → MFW → site → index.html. Tap to open.
  4. Tap the share icon → Open in browser. Then use Add to Home Screen — it launches like a native MetfaB™ app.

4. Bookmark on PC

Open this page in Chrome / Edge / Firefox, press Ctrl+D. The favicon uses the orange MFW folder icon for instant recognition in your bookmarks bar.
